On October 11, 2023, the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) took place between Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), Dar Al-Qari Resources, and Yayasan RI at the Lounge, USIM Chancellery. USIM was represented by the Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dato’ Ts. Dr. Sharifudin Md Shaarani and the Dean of the Faculty of Quran and Sunnah Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mohd Zohdi Mohd Amin. Meanwhile, Dar Al-Qari Resources was represented by Dato’ Haji Rizalman Haji Ibrahim and the Chief Operations Officer Tuan Jailani Jantan.
Through this collaboration, USIM will receive sponsorship for research grants related to the field of Islamic Studies and other areas, which will be finalized for a period of 2 years amounting to RM100,000.00. Additionally, sponsorship will be provided for two postgraduate student scholarships, covering tuition fees, living allowances, book allowances according to the offer letter for 8 semesters, totaling RM21,842.00. This partnership also includes the sharing of expertise and knowledge under the Rimba Tarim Project.
